HPD officers responded to Ka Hanahou Circle where Pama was allegedly arguing with a bystander and lying in a truck that didn't belong to him. Police said Pama kicked the inside of the truck before he got out and struggled with the officer. A second officer arrived and handcuffed him, then a third officer put leg shackles on him. Pama became unresponsive and died at the scene.
